Canada's central bank releases monetary policy report
By: THE CANADIAN PRESS OTTAWA - The Bank of Canada says the economic recovery is becoming more solidly entrenched. The bank says Canada's recovery started off a lot slower than anticipated, largely because Canadians were buying foreign products, but is making up ground and likely grew 3.3 per cent in the last three months of 2009. This year, it projects the economy will expand 2.9 per cent, followed by a 3.5 per cent pickup in 2011.
